[MUSIC PLAYING] - Movement is a critical underpinning to literally everything we do professionally, personally. And when you add in an awareness of creativity and music, as well as an ability to fuel and nourish and stand in your power in very actionable ways, that unlocks a lot. And it's not just unlocking a personal record in a race or finishing a marathon. It's unlocking curiosity about your own potential. And I think that mind-body connection inspires confidence that can never be purchased. I was not an athlete growing up. I didn't run my first mile until I was in law school. So for me, rewriting the story of becoming an athlete was pretty monumental and unexpected. I was teased growing up for the way I ran. I was petrified of showing up to gym class. That was a huge fear that I had to confront if I wanted access to this power that movement provided. And I'm so glad I faced those fears and rewrote the story, because if I were still living with what nine-year-old Robin experienced as movement, I never would have recreated my life. I think for the newer athlete or someone who doesn't even call themselves an athlete yet, which is understandable-- I've been there-- start small. We can see these training programs and get really overwhelmed. Or we look at somebody's Instagram feed and we're just like oh my gosh, how will I ever achieve that thing? Nobody starts off running the 100-mile race, right? Just like every other goal, you start with one. You start with one rep. You start with one mile. You start with one workout. You start with 10 minutes. Start small and build from there. I think especially ambitious folks, we read about these iconic endeavors in sport and we're inspired by it. But then we also hold ourselves to that same standard. Run your race. Plot your path to greatness. And I think that makes it a little bit more palatable. Two weeks before I started working at Peloton, I was diagnosed as a type I diabetic. My pancreas stopped producing insulin, completely unexpected. I'm the healthiest person I know, still happened. And when I was in the doctor's office and she said you're a type I diabetic, you're going to be dependent on insulin for the rest of your life, my first question was how am I going to run the ultra marathon I have in three months? I had to decide, do I crumble or do I pivot? Am I a victim to this or am I still victorious despite? And there was doubt. I was like okay, I'm going to learn everything I need to know about how I'm going to achieve my goals. And I'm going to have to adapt and I'm going to have to pivot. And I'm going to have to figure it out. But I know I've figured it out before. And the confidence I had in these conversations, it started with really leading with the outcome in mind. There was no other conceivable outcome other than finishing that upcoming race. And I just happened to do it with-- now I have insulin in my superhero toolkit. I figured it out. It w...
