[00:00:00.00] [MUSIC PLAYING] [00:00:19.06] - For me, my creative spirit is almost another person that lives within me. I kind of see it as, you know, the child within me that never grew up. And I try my best to keep in touch with that side of me and stay playful and have fun and not care about what people think and worry about judgment, which is such a beautiful thing that kids have that we kind of lose as adults. But I think as a creative being, that's just something I've never lost. And, you know, I love color, I love clothes, I love interior design. All those things interests me, and not just dance. And I think it goes hand in hand, and it plays a part when I go to create and dance. [00:01:00.70] My creative spirit is-- is a part of me that I just trust. And I think it's really about finding that trust with that side of you, because when you go to create, there's so much noise. And you have so many doubts-- is this the right decision, is this the right move? I think if you can find that trust with that creative side or that creative person within you, there's no doubt-- when I go to create now, I'm fearless and I'm free. And I'm not worrying about, you know, all the other decisions that come into play when you are in a job or when you are under someone's direction. [00:01:35.86] You know, to be able to set yourself free and have that trust really allows you to create your best work. And it took me years to find that trust. And I really believe you find that trust through experience. You know, you have to put yourself in those positions where you feel challenged and you make mistakes. And, you know, you do something that maybe you made a decision for someone else and you realize that's not what you wanted to do. So you kind of build that trust and realize, you know, your vision is-- really, only you can see your vision. No one else can. [00:02:13.04] So it's important to find that relationship with yourself and the creative spirit within yourself and to strengthen that. And for me, it's a daily journey. You know, every day, I'm strengthening that so that when I am put in those positions that are challenging, I can cancel the noise out and just listen to my creative spirit. And I feel like it's really about finding ways to constantly stimulate that part of the brain and stay inspired and to stay open and ready for ideas, you know? If you can make that a lifestyle in the way you are, in the way you live your everyday life, then it's going to make creating so much easier. [00:02:55.16] [MUSIC PLAYING] [00:02:56.12] [00:03:00.92] Ever since I was a little girl, I have been a dreamer. And I think it is essential to dream before you create. I think that's the first step-- is to know your goals. Know your visions. Know what's-- what's the big picture for you? [00:03:20.18] A dream board is a collage of images that captures your dreams or desires. [00:03:25.40] I've personally experienced how effective dream boards can be. Everything that I s...
