[COMPELLING MUSIC] - A capsule wardrobe is your personal style selection of essential pieces. I'll be walking you through mine. But yours could look completely different. It's just a trial-and-error process of finding what works best for you. A real goal of a wardrobe capsule or even a wardrobe uniform is to not only help establish your own style. But it's to create a capsule that you can wear anywhere. You can wear it to work. You can make a quick change and go out to dinner. You can travel in it. You can pretty much do anything. It's really distilling it down to a few pieces and then building from there. Generally, it's about 8 to 10 pieces that are staples that then you can pull from. And you can have variations of them. It's finding, what are the pieces that you need in your life? And then, how can you make them all work together? If you're watching this today, you probably have several things in your closet you don't wear. So I love the idea of really thinking about it and editing it down and really wearing and loving the pieces you have. You know, it's not necessary to buy new things every year. But it's necessary to have pieces that you love. The concept of a uniform or a wardrobe capsule, I think, is really helpful in being really efficient in how you dress. And also, it's a really great way to anchor the foundation of your own personal style. There are threads in the way people dress in their own personal style. You'll see it, like-- you'll see it in, actually, all the people who you like. You can identify little indicators of their own personal style by just looking at kind of a spreadsheet, if you will, of their looks. So you see a Hailey Bieber or a Tracee Ellis Ross or a Justin. You can see there's little commonalities of what they wear. And to me, that's part of their wardrobe capsule. Whether it's great color on Tracee or baggy jeans and a beanie on Justin, these are pieces that have become an extension of who they are. Creating a wardrobe does not have to be expensive. It is not just for celebrities. It's for everybody at home. You can create a wardrobe on any budget. [THOUGHTFUL MUSIC] I have seven pieces in my own wardrobe that I go to time and time again. They're universal. They're accessible at any budget. So one of the very most important pieces to me is a blazer. And there's always variations of it. I love-- this is an oversized tweed blazer. It's a really universal piece that kind of pulls a look all together. I'll wear it with sweatpants to be completely honest. I wear it with jeans. I wear it with a white t-shirt. I'll put a great button-up underneath it. Obviously, I love a blazer. But what I really, really love is a full suit. What I also love about a great suit is you break it up. Men have had this advantage for a long time. You can wear your blazer over a dress. You can wear the pants just with a tank top in the summer and a cute pair of shoes. I...
