[MUSIC PLAYING] ALICIA KEYS: The reason why I want to do this MasterClass class is because I'm always learning. I'm excited to share what I've learned, and I'm excited to share my process. I think it's beautiful that it actually helps me to be honest as well. The way that I keep evolving is just by continuously being curious. That's the awesome thing about knowledge and information is never an end to it. There's never a point in time that you know everything. I definitely think and know for a fact that you know yourself better than anybody else. Nobody knows you better than you, 100%. But there is all the things that you're learning and all the things that you are having access to and that you're curious about that you get to learn and discover. And therefore, it evolves you. You know, you get to evolve every time in every circumstance and every choice and every moment. You know, so I think there is a gratitude that I carry with me. And I know that there's more. I want to constantly be in awe. I want to be in a constant state of wonder. I want to constantly be so surprised and shocked with everything that I can discover and uncover and how amazing it is and how I can see it in a new way than I ever saw before. I think that's what life is. I think that's what music is. I think that's what songs are. I think the minute that you think you know what you're doing with a song, that's it. You've finished. Personally, that's what I think, because how do you know? You haven't even accessed all the parts of you, all the sides of you. Every day, you're different. Every day, you're growing. Every day, you're better. So I love this idea, and it actually fuels me a lot. And I love not knowing. I love being curious. So, to me, that's how I keep from going. And that's how we all can keep going, is just being open to the excitement of always being able to grow and know more. As much as it may be helping you or giving you another way to look at things or just to even think about how you might want to create or what other people do to create, whatever it might be, it helps me. It helps me identify. It helps me recognize patterns that I do as a creative. 'Cause, you know, a lot of times, you don't reflect on these things. You just-- it happens, you do it, you did it, you went home, and you keep on pushing, right? But you don't reflect back on, wow, I noticed this, or I realized this. So every time I do a song, I do this. Every time I create something, I create this. You know, you don't really think about it. So it's been really cool to also recognize my own patterns and make note of them while also being able to share them with you, and, hopefully, give some insight or some inspiration or some nuggets, pieces, jewels, whatever it is. So that's why I wanted to do it. I want to do it so that we can connect, so we can build it. I love talking. Stay lucky. Don't have me talking all day on this thing. I mean, what?
