[MUSIC PLAYING] - The best bet I've ever made was probably betting on Floyd Mayweather to beat Conor McGregor. Mayweather, the best boxer in the world, was a gigantic favorite. - For me to be 49 and 0, it comes down to the skills. ROB PIZZOLA: But the public rushed in and bet McGregor, the UFC fighter who was boxing for the first time professionally. - I certainly know I'm going to win. I certainly know that. MAN: I just don't think he's got any chance. - Floyd Mayweather is amongst some of the best fighters that has ever lived, but he's been out of the ring two years. GINA FIORE: Because the public was betting so much money on McGregor, it created an unusual situation where you could get extremely favorable odds doing the opposite. So every sharp sports bettor I knew was betting as much as possible on Mayweather. I mean, they were mortgaging their homes to get more cash to bet on Mayweather. - I had about $40,000 riding on this fight, which at the time was a pretty good sweat for me. - Not only did I bet Floyd Mayweather, but for months leading up to that fight, I was parlaying all of my other bets with Floyd Mayweather. - Gentlemen, let's do this. It was a six-figure payday on Floyd Mayweather. - The biggest secret that I have is that you should look at sports betting like a skill game that can be solved. You can actually win. When you watch Gladiator, we want them to live? Do we want them to die? We want the skin in the game. We want the extra rush. - A lot of people want to be proven right. And if your result holds true, then you will exit that game feeling like you are the biggest genius on the planet. - It used to be when sports betting wasn't legal in so many states, you had to bet with a bookie. - I remember after a particularly poor week-- and there were many-- having to meet a bookie in the parking a Toys R US in Queens, New York to hand him an envelope of money, feeling like I was about to get whacked or something. It's a mafia movie. - In The Color of Money, Paul Newman's character says money won-- - Is twice as sweet as money earned. - --who wants to spend 40 hours a week to get paid at the end of the week? Money won can happen as early as the first pitch. ROB PIZZOLA: In 2018, the Supreme Court ruled t...
