    Creating and Managing MasterClass Profiles

    Profiles allow you and members of your household to keep track of your own classes, watchlists, and recommendations based on individual viewing history. With a Plus or Premium membership, you can create up to five additional profiles (six total) under one account.

    Managing Profiles
    You can perform the following actions to keep profiles organized for everyone in your household.

    Add a profile
    The Account Holder’s profile is automatically created at sign-up. To add additional profiles, you must use a web browser::
    1. Log into your account via the web at www.masterclass.com
    2. Click your Profile icon in the upper right corner
    3. Click on Profiles
    4. Select + Add Profile
    5. Enter a profile name
    6. Upload a new profile image (optional)
    7. Select Continue
    🗒 The Account Holder’s profile cannot be deleted. Profile creation is currently available only on the website.
     
    Switch Profiles
    When sharing devices with your household, you can switch profiles at any time:

    On Web:
    1. Click your Profile icon.
    2. Select Profiles.
    3. Choose the profile you’d like to switch to.
    On the App:
    1. Tap your Profile icon.
    2. Select Switch Profiles.
    3. Choose the desired profile.
     
    Edit a Profile
    To update a profile’s details, including playback preferences, language, or maturity settings, follow these steps:

    On Web:
    1. Log in at www.masterclass.com.
    2. Click your Profile icon.
    3. Select Profiles > Manage Profiles
    4. Choose the profile to edit and click Edit Profile
    On the App:
    1. Tap your Profile icon
    2. Select Switch Profiles
    3. Choose the profile and tap Edit in the top-right corner

    Delete a Profile
    Deleting a profile is permanent and cannot be undone.

    To delete a profile (web only):
    1. Log into your account via the web at www.masterclass.com
    2. Click the Profile icon
    3. Select Profiles > Manage Profiles option
    4. Choose the profile you want to delete
    5. Click Delete Profile and confirm
    🗒 The Account Holder’s profile cannot be deleted.

    Unlink a Social or Third-Party Login
    If your account is linked to Google, Apple, or Facebook and you prefer to log in with an email and password instead:
    1. Click the Profile icon
    2. Select Settings
    3. Select Create a MasterClass Password to unlink your social login
    4. Follow the prompts to complete setup
    🗒️ Unlinking and password creation are available via web browsers only.

    Separate Progress Tracking with Multiple Profiles
    Each household member on a shared MasterClass account can track their own progress independently, keep their own watchlist, and receive personalized recommendations.

    🗒 Sessions are currently available only on the Account Holder’s profile. Additional profiles cannot access Sessions at this time.

    Using Plus and Premium Plans With Social Logins
    If your account uses a social login and you prefer not to use those credentials across multiple devices, you can switch to an email-and-password login. Steps are available in our Managing Social Sign-In article.

    Privacy and Personalization
    MasterClass handles profile information, watch activity, and personalized recommendations in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
    đź—’ Profiles are visible to the account holder but are managed independently by each household member.
