    Using Session Cohorts

In MasterClass at Work, cohorts allow Enterprise users to have team-specific conversations within any of our sessions with activities. This feature facilitates targeted discussions and collaboration among team members.

    Why Cohorts Matter
Cohorts enable team-specific interactions within MasterClass sessions, fostering collaboration and enhancing the learning experience. By allowing discussions tailored to specific teams, cohorts promote a sense of community and relevance in training programs.

    User Experience with Cohorts
When responding to a session task, users can choose to post their responses to:
    • Their entire organization
    • Any team they're part of
    • Privately
This flexibility ensures that users can engage with the appropriate audience for each activity.

    Setting Up and Managing Cohorts
    • Automatic Enablement: Cohorts are automatically enabled for all organizations. Administrators simply need to add users to teams to activate this feature.
    • Adding Users to Cohorts: Any user added to a team will automatically have access to that team's cohort.
    • Accessing Cohorts: Within a session that allows posting, users can select their cohort from a switcher to choose the appropriate audience for their posts.
    • Viewing Posts: Users can only see posts from the cohorts they belong to, ensuring relevant and focused discussions.

    Managing Changes in Team Membership
    • Removing Users from Cohorts: If a user is removed from a team, they lose access to that team's cohort. However, their previous posts remain visible to other cohort members.
    • Adding Users to Existing Cohorts: Newly added users can view all existing posts in their cohort, allowing them to catch up on prior discussions.

    Impact on Reporting
Reporting remains consistent overall. However, at the team level, metrics may adjust based on users being added to or removed from teams, reflecting the current composition of each cohort.

    Key Takeaways
    • Cohorts enhance team-specific learning and collaboration within MasterClass sessions.
    • The feature is automatically enabled; administrators only need to manage team memberships to utilize cohorts.
    • Users have control over the audience for their posts, promoting flexibility in engagement.
    • Team membership changes dynamically affect cohort access and related reporting metrics.
By leveraging cohorts, organizations can create more personalized and effective learning environments, aligning with specific team objectives and fostering a collaborative culture.
