The winner will be chosen by Bobbi Brown herself!

Winner will be announced the week of March 16th, 2020 and be notified via email.

Winner will visit Bobbi in her studio on a mutually convenient weekday between April 27 and May 22.

Entry into this contest constitutes agreement by entrants to abide by these rules, as well as any other rules established by MasterClass. Personal information will be used for the purposes of administering this student opportunity, notifying winners, next steps, and other uses described in the Privacy Policy. MasterClass reserves the right to suspend, modify or cancel this student opportunity and/or alter these contest rules at any time without notice to you.

How do I enter the contest?

Upload a photo of your original makeup look demonstrated on yourself, along with a description of what class techniques you used to create the look into this community thread (3 sentences max).

Are there restrictions to the photo submit?

The photo should be an original photo of yourself with a makeup look that you created yourself, inspired by concepts in Bobbi Brown’s class. For more information on how the photo and makeup look will be judged, please see the section entitled “How will the winner be selected?” below.

You must have all necessary rights to post this photo. Please do not use a photo that portrays or belongs to another person.

In what file format should the photo be submitted?

Please upload a .jpeg or .png image. To upload the image, simply click the red “reply” button and drag and drop into the post. Image must be your own photo and include your own makeup creation.

Do I have to be enrolled in Bobbi Brown’s class in order to participate in the contest?

Yes. Submissions are open to anyone currently enrolled in Bobbi Brown’s class. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase or payment will not increase your chance of winning.

What does MasterClass cover - will MasterClass pay for flights or accommodation?

MasterClass will provide a $500 flight voucher to the winner get to Montclair, New Jersey as well as a makeover by Bobbi Brown. The winner is responsible for paying for their accommodation, food, ground transportation, and other expenses.

Is the opportunity to enter into this contest open to MasterClass students in all locations?

Yes, you can enter no matter where you are located.

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes, submissions are restricted to students who are 18 years or older in age. Please note, minors must not appear in your image. If anyone under the age of 18 attempts to participate or is shown in your image in any way, MasterClass reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove and disqualify your submission without notice to you.

How many posts can I submit?

We are only able to accept one post submission per student. Please do not submit more than one, or you may be disqualified and no longer eligible to win. If you upload more than one image of your look, make sure it is in the same post.

Who owns the rights to submitted material?

All of the work entered into the competition is ultimately owned by the entrant (you). As with all user-uploaded content, MasterClass is granted a license to submissions. For more information, please see our Terms of Service (4.3 User Content Transmitted).

What is the contest timeline and when is the submission deadline?

• This contest will run from February 12th - March 2nd, 2020.
• Image and corresponding description must be submitted in the contest page on or before March 2nd, 2020 at 11 PM PT.
• Winner will be selected by Bobbi Brown and announced via email the week of March 16th.

What can I do if I miss the March 2nd deadline for the contest?

All images must be submitted by March 2nd, 2020 at 11 PM PT to be considered for the contest. If you miss the deadline, we cannot accept any late submissions, sorry!

What if I or my friend are not available to go to Montclair, NJ between April 27th - May 22nd, 2020 (weekends and select dates unavailable) (10 am - 5:00 pm local time) during one of those days?

If you and/or your friend are not available to attend the live makeover and studio visit the dates and times provided, you are unable to receive the prize and will be disqualified. Only the winning student that can attend during this availability window will be eligible to collect the prize.

How will the winner be selected?

One student will be chosen by Bobbi Brown, in her sole discretion. Bobbi Brown will be looking for the following criteria:

1. Use of class techniques from Bobbi Brown’s class, such as:

• Highlighting and enhancing natural features
• Use of bronzer and blush
• Choice of lip color
• Use of color as a key of self-expression
• Expression of eyes, whether smoky eye, or day eyes

2. Quality of photo (clarity, ability to see makeup details)

3. Clear explanation of class techniques used in written description

Once a student is selected, the student may be required to agree to additional terms and conditions prior to receiving the prize(s).

What is the Prize?

Winning student will receive:

• $500 flight voucher (from airline - TBD when winner is selected)
• An in-person makeover by Bobbi Brown in her studio in Montclair, NJ (Approx. retail value $200).

Total Prize value is approx. USD$700

What is not included: Scheduling of flights, ground transportation, accommodations, and other expenses (including any taxes associated with prize value).

When will we be notified about which student won?

The winning student who is selected will be notified via email prior to announcement in the Community. MasterClass currently anticipates announcing winners the week of March 16th subject to change in its sole discretion.

Entrants, and the winning student, each agree to MasterClass’s use of their name, city, state/province/territory (if applicable), country, image or likeness, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law. Where lawful, selected winner may be required to sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and Publicity Release within two (2) business days of selection notification as a condition to qualifying. If MasterClass does not receive this information from a selected winner in a timely manner, Masterclass reserves the right to disqualify such student and select a new winner.

What steps must the winner take to receive the Prize?

Winner and their friend must take reasonable steps to coordinate with MasterClass and Bobbi Brown, including, but not liming to, signing the Declaration of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and Publicity Release, informing MasterClass of winner’s preferred airline for the voucher, and agreeing to have Bobbi Brown contact the winner by phone to schedule the makeover experience. Winner’s failure to take these steps, in addition to any other requirements set forth in these contest terms, may result in disqualification and/or forfeiture of the prize by the winning student.

*Winner is solely responsible for informing Bobbi Brown of any allergies and fully releases MasterClass from any and all liability for any claims relating to the winner partaking of the private makeover experience.

Are there terms and conditions around the image I submit? What happens to the image when I submit and if I get selected?

By submitting an image in connection with this student opportunity (which we will refer to as “Materials”), you automatically represent and warrant that the Materials: (a) have not been copied from any third party, are original to you and you have all the necessary rights in and to the Materials; (b) do not violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation; (c) do not contain any reference to any identifiable third parties, unless consent has been obtained from all such individuals and their parent/legal guardian if they are under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence; (d) will not give rise to any claims of infringement, invasion of privacy or publicity, or infringe on any rights and/or interests of any third party, or give rise to any claims for payment whatsoever; and (e) are not defamatory, trade libelous, pornographic or obscene. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold MasterClass and/or its affiliates harmless from and against any claims, damages or expenses arising out of or relating to a breach of your representations and warranties set forth above or for you or your friend’s use, or failure to use, the prize.

Please note that under no circumstances will MasterClass be required to treat your Materials as confidential. MasterClass will be entitled to use the Materials without permission from or compensation to you or any other person. For the avoidance of doubt, MasterClass will not be liable to you or any other person for any ideas for MasterClass’s business (including, without limitation, designs or ideas) derived from the Materials and will not incur any liability as a result of any similarities to the Materials that may appear in any future products or services of MasterClass.
