What Is Punch?
Punch is a batched beverage that can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Punch can contain a variety of mixers, like liquors, liqueurs, teas, soda, ginger ale, ginger beer, seltzer, fresh fruit, and fruit juice. Punch is generally prepared in large batches and served at parties in a punch bowl with an ice ring. Guests can pour punch into individual glasses with ice cubes.

From refreshing fruit punches to warm milk punches, consider making ones of the following punch drink recipes for your next birthday party, dinner party, or social gathering:
- 1. Champagne punch: This fizzy Champagne punch combines sparkling wine or prosecco, vodka, orange juice, pineapple juice, and sparkling water or club soda. To make a non-alcoholic punch, use a sparkling cider and omit the vodka. This punch is perfect for a brunch or a daytime party, like a bridal shower.
- 2. For Whom the Bellflower Tolls punch: For Whom the Bellflower Tolls is an herby, citrusy punch that combines gin, Assam tea, cherry liquor, Angostura bitters, and lemon oleosaccharum (a simple syrup made out of citrus peels). Garnish with lemon slices.
- 3. Nectar of Gaia punch: This rum punch combines rum and chamomile tea with lemon juice, lemon oleosaccharum, and hard apple cider. Nectar of Gaia is both herby and fruity.
