Summer Peach Sangria Recipe: How to Make Peach Sangria

Written by MasterClass

When it comes to summer drinks, few cocktails rival the classic red wine sangria, but you can also make the classic Spanish drink recipe with white wine and fresh peaches. The combination of wine, fresh ripe peaches, berries, and peach schnapps, makes for a cocktail bursting with the flavors of quintessential summer fruits.

What Is Peach Sangria?

Peach sangria is a wine cocktail that combines dry white wine (such as pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, or Riesling) or rosé, peaches, berries, and peach schnapps. The dry white wine balances out the sweetness of the peaches and liqueur, but for an extra sweet, extra-peachy drink, you can sub out white wine for a peach Moscato. Yellow peaches and white peaches both work well for sangria; nectarines make a sensible substitute for fresh peaches. Peach sangria is perfect for a summer party when peach season is in full swing.
