    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Grease a rectangle baking dish or sheet cake pan with cooking spray or additional softened butter.

    In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, add the flour, white sugar, salt, and baking powder. Mix to combine the ingredients, about 1 minute.

    In a small saucepan (or the microwave), heat up the whole milk and melt the butter.

    Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture slowly, and mix the ingredients with your hands until a shaggy dough forms.

    Dust some extra all-purpose flour onto a clean work surface and turn the dough out onto the floured surface. Knead the dough for 1–2 minutes.
